@wheresmylife Oops, that should say “slice them,” not slick them.
The reason they got so much water out of the veggies is because they’ve been salted. The salt sweats the veggies and removes the water. If you don’t like eggplant (the bitter taste they can have), slick them, put them in a bowl, salt them and give them 15 minutes to sweat. The bitter liquid comes out making them more palatable.
I appreciate these videos but I have to admit, I find Kevin incredibly annoying. That’s okay, though. It’s just a personality difference.
Where’s the recipe?
@muzicluva000 There is hardly any fat or calories in the recipe up until this point anyway (still watching). You need to get some fat, and olive oil is very healthy. What’s the big deal?
why in the world would you soak the tomatoes in olive oil? whats wrong with water? geez ur adding so many unneeded calories and fat
You are good, but the camera man needs to slow down, and let you cruise.
But, I love you both.
The old man
I made this last night, omg. It’s so good!!! I can’t believe the eggplant, lol. Thanks so much you guys:)
Hey, kids! Fun vid. Am going to make this Thanksgiving night for raw vegan “frito pie” for Friday football watching at my folks’. It involves chili on top of raw corn chips topped with raw vegan sour cream – probably of a cashew variety – and chopped onions. A Texas favorite turned “rawsome.” Can’t believe I just said that, actually. Cheers!
where you get your heart spoon ?
Hey what about marinating the veg in the sauce???
During Ramadan, you say Ramadan Mubarak or Ramadan Kareem. Ramadan will start around August 22 in 2009.
great video, looks delicious, btw.. your wife is hot.
Christmas is Christmas guys. It’s a holiday specifically for Christians and not to be confused with any other religion. But great dish! I tried it and it tastes better than the cooked version which takes hours if you cook it from scratch. I’ve tried about three raw versions and they all tasted better than the cooked version. I also added some mesquite powder and raw vanilla powder to give a slightly barbecue flavor. Amazing.
Ramadan was in September.
But another Muslim holiday was Dec 8. Eid-al-adha.
Happy Holydays guys.
Peace.
Happy Holidays, Guys! Man, that chili looks yummy!!!
Peace and Joy from Sweden,
Markji
great, looks delicious ,thanks for sharing. i love the heart spoon!
instead of asking in a flippant ignorant way what holidays people celebrate, how about just googling the holiday in question. that would be more “caring.”
We made some raw tacos and cinnamon apple cookies for ourselves and our fam!
Merry Christmas Kevin and Ann-Marie!
it’s called editing. do it. you know ho much of our time you waste? for all the tips you are worth you waste ten times that amount of time. kevin you are so rude to annn-marie how does she stand it?
Tonight I ate a nori wrap with hummous, alfalfa sprouts, mushrooms, salsa, and peppers w/ dried herbs on top. It’s what you eat in a pinch.
i am having a green smoothie for dinner tonight! happy holidays.
Eid, wasn’t it like 2-3 weeks ago?
For ramadan, you say eid mubarak.
But it ended abot a month ago:)
Thanks for the recipe!
