Question by Lobo man: Vegetarian ?
Is choosing a vegetarian diet the ONLY other alternative to buying packaged meat? I mean, I’ve heard how cruel and inhumane many corporations can treat their livestock, but i feel lots of the information we receive is bias.
Typically, in the ranches in Brazil, massive herds of cattle are allowed to roam free, so the meat is is a whole lot fresh down there. Factory food here is a completely different story..
So you guys are telling me there are NO other alternatives to factory meat other than kosher? And aren’t humans omnivorous? I’ve read articles describing the hassle and inefficiency of a vegetarian diet; its not all that practical.. or is it?
And to choose a vegan diet for moral reasons are just as hypocritical; -
“Steven Davis, professor of animal science at Oregon State University, claims that the number of wild animals killed in crop production is greater than those killed in ruminant-pasture production and therefore eating meat causes less harm to animals than a vegan diet.[78][79] Gaverick Matheny, a Ph.D. candidate in agricultural economics at the University of Maryland, claims that Davis’ reasoning contains several major flaws, including distorting the notion of “harm” to animals, and miscalculating the number of animal deaths based upon areas of land rather than per consumer.” – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vegan#Link_with_eating_disorders
I am, however, interested in commencing a vegan diet, as it seems to have many benefits, I just don’t want to have to chug down bottles of vitamins every morning..

Actually no. There is something called a Kosher diet. It is very hard to find this type of food tho. They only eat meat in which the animal isn’t hurt when it dies. You can search it on google or yahoo to learn more.

Answer by pennylane8510
ease yourself into it. i handle being a vegetarian very well because i never really liked meat to begin with, so it suits me.
ah, well stay away from the smell and sight of chicken (and people eating it, lol) for a long time, and then you’ll get use to it and will be able to live without it. focus on other foods that you enjoy minus the chicken. you’ll learn to become creative with your food and may even try some new foods you thought you’d never like!
