Does anyone know how you can apply as a peta model or “get seen” by peta. This is something I really want to do! So please, any info would be great.

I am not a vegan but I found this for you.

1 cup coconut oil
4 oz. (or 112 grams) bittersweet chocolate or to be even more strict just use unsweetened chocolate with 70% (or more) cocoa solids.
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp instant coffee or espresso powder
1/2 cup hot water
2 cups sugar**
1 cup cake or pastry flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cup dutch process cocoa
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp flax seeds (ground)
6 Tbsp hot water

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease an 8 x 8 pan.
2. In a double boiler or a bowl set atop a pot of gently simmering water, melt the coconut oil, chocolate squares and vanilla together.
3. Mix the coffee (or espresso) powder with the 1/2 cup of hot water and stir into the coconut/chocolate mixture. Add sugar and remove from heat. The sugars will dissolve a bit but you don’t need to completely dissolve it.
4. In another bowl, sift together the flours, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Whisk to combine.
5. In yet another bowl (small one), mix the flax seeds and 6 Tbsp of hot water, allow to sit for 2-3 minutes.
6. Combine the chocolate/coconut oil mixture with the flour mixture and stir to incorporate. Add the thickened flax and stir that in as well.
7. Pour the batter into the greased baking pan and bake for 30-40 minutes. Start checking the brownies after the first 30 minutes to ensure it is baking evenly.
8. When finished, remove the brownies from the oven, set atop a cooling rack and get busy somewhere else. These babies need to be utterly cooled before consuming. If you attempt to eat them before they are properly cooled, they will crumble. When they are properly cooled, you can’t even tell they are eggless, I promise!

Please don’t just give web links – I’d love to hear recipes you’ve tried and tested yourselves and can personally vouch are good.

NB British Christmas cake is a very heavy, very rich cake made with dried fruits, alcohol and spices, cooked for several hours at a very low heat, and has unreal keeping qualities – you can keep it for several years without it going bad. I’m open to anything similar.

The problem with Christmas puddings that you buy, or Christmas pudding recipes, is that they often contain suet – an animal product. Bad news if you are vegetarian. This is a suet-free recipe which makes a pud which is far better than any pudding you will buy in the supermarket. By the way, cooked Christmas puds will keep in the freezer for up to 6 months! Question by Insert clever name here: What is a good site for vegetarian recipes?
I will be coming off of the master cleanse on 11/14 and I am starting now with the planning of my meals when I come off of it so that I don’t go back to my old, unhealthy eating habits. I want to eat vegetarian to make the most of the cleansing I have done but I want a website that has good vegetarian recipes. If the site lists the calorie count for the recipes as well, that would be even better. =)

I have noticed that there are more and more Re, ads on craigslist that are insulting, rude, and mean. They say there are PETA. They tear people down, Why.

Because when you buy from craiglist you are NOT adopting, you are supporting irresponsible breeder such as Backyard breeder and Puppy farmers who are OUT to make a quick BUCK or Profit on there pooches, as a result of careless breeding, many have poor temerpements including aggression or fear, genetic faults and behavioural issues, and as result craiglist and other like online newpapers contributes to the death of animal shelter animals. Each animal brought from craiglist means One animal less to be adopted from the shelter, and have a life saved.

You buy from craiglist, You take a HOME away from a shelter animal and in turn You guarantee a death of a shelter animal

For every animal born 3 animals die in shelters

Each time you buy from craiglist or another like newspaper classified, you encourages other to do the same, which also end up decrease the true animal shelter adoptions

When you adopt from a TRUE rescue/shelter/pound, You save a life, and help decrease the pet overpopulation and help encourage other to adopted from local rescue groups, which is a part all responsible pet owership is all about.

If you don’t want to adopt, fair enough, but find a reptuable breeder who belong to breed club in your state for example such as the Labrador club of America breeder referal, don’t support craiglist breeder or anyother newspaper/online websites
